5G Wideband Signal Generation and Analysis
Delivering 1000x capacity and 100x bandwidth per user over existing mobile technologies will require higher frequency bands and new waveforms. Today, researchers are investigating many different waveform candidates, in addition to OFDMA (which is an evolution of LTE-Advanced). In this workshop, we will address the need for a flexible approach to generate 5G candidate waveforms, and demonstrate how these signals (RF through millimeter wave) can be generated and analyzed.
5G Chip & Component Testing
Unlike previous generations of mobile systems that operated at RF frequencies, 5G systems will be required to work at frequencies up to 60GHz. Making repeatable and accurate measurements at these frequencies, especially on-wafer, requires extreme care and precision. In this workshop, we will discuss and demonstrate the intricacies of making these measurements on-chip or in a packaged environment.
